december...

you know how everyone always says the older you get the faster time goes, well, i think we are there. time goes so fast. another year is concluded. it's weird. really weird. december came and went just like that. boom. gone. i swear i didn't even blink and this entire year disappeared.

we went and got our tree with the fullers and there was a single drop of snow. not one drop. it was so so so weird. we have only ever gone one other time were there hasn't been any snow. we had a bonfire and trudged through an insane amount of mud to find a tree. for some reason, without snow, it was 10x harder to find a tree. it took forever and the tree we got was far from a winner this year but it was a tree and it did its job. the kids weren't really into it this year, they just sat by the fire not wanting to go hike around so us adults took off to go hike around. we had a good time but the kids weren't too happy it took so long when we finally came back but we quite enjoyed ourselves, guess next time they will come with us!

 

burke took his first ever trip to the ER for what we thought was appendicitis. apparently he just needed to fart. he had a massive amount of air and bowel in his intestines. 

he also had his very first band concert that he knocked out of the park. very well done burke!

the boys were in the stake nativity. burke was a shepard and tegan was an angel in the chorus. it was a super neat program and they both enjoyed being able to participate in it. our stake did such a good job with it and the real camel was a huge hit.

whitney started a little company called scrunchmal that launched in december. ayla and mya have enjoyed helping model her scrunchies.

the vargas's came into town and we loved being able to spend some quick time with them. we sure have missed them!
