for christmas this last year my parents gave us all a trip to san diego. so in may we all headed off on an air plane to san diego. we started the trip off with a bang as my dad pack a ziplock bag of white protein powder in his carry on bag. tsa was thrilled to find that. we all had a good laugh as they brought in a drug dogs and bomb squads and put him into holding. his comment was well i knew they wouldnt allow liquids so i left the liquid and brought the powder. hysterical. but he made it through and we got on the plane.
we had a great few days down in california laying on the beach, playing in the ocean. we went to sea world which was probably one of our top favorite days ever. it was completely empty we never stood in line for a single ride. we didn't even have to walk back out of the ride to get back on ,they just let us keep going and going and going. we rode rides after rides after rides. the kids went over and over again. i had to take a few breaks here and there but nothing stopped them! the orcas was our favorite show, although i didn't expect to get soooooo wet. we were drenched. when my parents bought the sea world passes we also got the all day food passes so we also ate and ate all the day long as well. it was a blast.
we also had the best beach day up in del mar boogie boarding. we found a little surf shop that rented us wet suits and boards for super cheap and we walked down to the beach and spent a few hours playing around whiles everyone else went to the zoo. we didn't have much of a desire to go spend another day in a park so we made our own fun with another beach day and i'm sure glad did. it was one of our favorites!
we explored la jolla, went to coronando, went to a padres baseball game, played at balboa park, went to mission beach, ate at in and out of course, enjoyed some ice cream from handels and had lots and lots of fun!
