we had just gotten home from the cabin when the eggintons invited us up to bear lake for a long weekend, how could we say no. sounded way to fun to miss out on so we headed to bear lake with the egginton's and the erickson's. bear lake was awesome. i had never been before. it was pretty there. we did lots and lots of fun things. explored the little town went over and back and over and back of the utah idaho border which the kids enjoyed a lot. went to the minnetonka caves. headed up to a high mountain lake with a rope swing, bloomington lake where is was only 50 degrees out. it was soooo cold. but everyone still tried out the swing, except mya and i. even little fearless ayla went off it. she is a brave little woman! we spent a day at bear lake and we got to celebrate tegan's birthday with his donut cake. HE IS 13!! what! how is he 13. we officially have a teenager.
tegan is the coolest. we just love that kid. he is kind. fun. smart. caring. sweet. funny. witty. he still loves to be your best friend and have you around. he still will cuddle up on the couch with me. he is starting to throw that teenager attitude a little every now and then and it makes us do a double take. he loves to be with friends. he is a people person through and through. he hates school work. he goes to socialize. not to do school. we are working on that. darn kid.
his favorite color is gold. he loves chicken bowls and cereal. he loves sports. all of them. he likes to be outside but also loves to play nintendo, i guess it isn't actually called that, the kids tell me im wrong all the time. its a playstation... but only if he is with or chatting with friends. he has loved playing football at the middle school. his nickname is the vacuum because he catches everything that comes his way. he is an awesome big brother. he loves to go camping. he also loves to be lazy and not move unless there is a reason to move.
he is just pretty stinkin' awesome and we love love love him. happy year of the 13. may you be the best teenager you can be! and may it be your best year yet.
