thanksgiving week was spent at the movies, or so it felt that way. we went and watched frozen 2 with sherrie and some cousins on tuesday. the kids loved it, i even quite enjoyed it. it was very cute. then we went and watch abominable with my momma on wednesdaay. we liked that one too! we even managed to squeeze in a home movie night or two or three. it was very low key and i loved it. chase and the kids went and played basketball on thanksgiving morning with his high school buddies. we had a great thanksgiving meal, ate dessert then headed out to do a little black friday shopping. i found it to be very boring this year, the company was good but the rest was blah. the crowds were minimal, and the crazies weren't anywhere to be found and that's my favorite part. i find it hilarious the craziness of some people. the deals seemed the same as last year or what i was already finding online. i didn't buy a single thing! it was kind of depressing and i haven't been feeling well lately so i called it quits and was home by 8. boo.
we hurried and did gibson family pictures over thanksgiving break since jared is finally able to come home after a long football season away. my mother was thrilled it finally happened.
on saturday we headed to idaho city with the johnstons to get our christmas tree. we all had fun playing in the snow, roasting some hot dogs and finding the perfect tree. this year we both found really good trees and the best part is it stays up in the stand without any fishing line to the wall help! that right there is a miracle. we went home early evening from the mountains to decorate the tree and get christmas decorations up. tis' the best time of the year!
