october and november...

life since the fit one race... well life has been busy! i have been slacking on my journaling duties. its funny, i feel like some days i am so bored and don't know what to do with myself but the second 4:00 hits and the kids get home from school we don't have enough hours in the day to get everything done. October and November were busy with school parties, field trips, a trip to Rupert for the harry potter experience, pumpking carving, halloween, lacrosse games, jared's game in pocatello, lacrosse ending, football ending, family pictures, burkes birthday, thanksgiving, family pictures again and lots of healing for everyone. lots of doctor appointments around here lately.
this year for halloween we had Luigi and Mario. Marshmallow. Draco Malfoy (someone was all about his new scarf and wand). An astronaut. And a cute little witch, again.
we bleached burkes hair to help him look like Draco. It took so long to get a use to him being blonde. i can't even count how many times I was staring right at him but couldn't find him. He loved his bleached blonde hair. It took a few months but its back to normal now!

burke finished up with lacrosse, he and his team took 2nd in their end of season tournament. they did awesome. bummer for him though it was too much play in one day on his already sore and hurt feet. sunday morning he wasn't able to get out of bed or walk on his feet. he kept complaining of pain in his knee and he wouldn't bend it so chase ran him to DOC to see what the deal was. the little 9 year old has tendinitis in his knee from compensating for all of his heel pain, his severs disease. they told him zero activity for 2 weeks and to use crutches for a few day to let his knee relax. he missed the first two weeks and games of basketball season and has been feeling much better since.
since he couldn't play for a few weeks we decided to take a little weekend trip to pocatello to watch jared play football with ISU, we pulled the kiddos out of school, tegan missed his game that weekend and away we went. we had a blast hanging out with jared and watching him play football again. the kiddos were in heaven and all ayla cared about the entire time was the cheerleaders and getting their autograph.
