sledding...

we have the best sleeping hill a mile from our house. its a huge hill and is very steep on one side and more gradual slope on the other. over the last week we finally got a good amount of snow so we went yesterday to test out the hill. you could see some sage brush sticking up in spots but the dirt was covered mostly with snow so we hiked to the top and down we went.
 and holy crap.
 that hurt.
 that hurt so bad.
you could feel every single rock and dirt clump and you cruised down that hill at mach speed. it turns out my body is too old for torture like that. mya and i plowed a runt at the end of my first and only run and i felt every ounce of my lower back crack and pop and all my guts squish together.... needless to say i didnt go back down the hill again, and i wont be going back down it ever again unless some more snow falls and pads the ground. but, the kids loved it and they went up and down the hill a million times and are ready to go back today. chase and logan had quite a good time too. until logan hit his tailbone on a rock, then he was out too.
