this year was awesome. we had so much fun. the kids loved every single second of every single activity that happened on christmas. we spent the 23rd evening with my family, playing games and having a white elephant. we ended up with a blanket and a maze game for the kiddos. whit and cam blessed evelyn christmas eve then in the evening we went to chases parents for our annual christmas eve party. the kids made a haul and were pumped about all the gifts that they got. we stopped by my parents on the way home to get our pajamas then home we went to get some sleep. christmas came early, i might of even set the kids clock back when chase and i went to bed that night. but hey, we ended up with 52 extra minutes of sleep. the rule was 7 and they came in at 7:52 and were so confused how our clocks were so different since they had been up waiting for 7:00 to hit. it was my best idea yet! i may just try it again next year.

ayla - spirit (the horse) that eats carrots and talks
along with way to many other things...
the favorite toy this year is the hooverboard. chase and i even love to ride it. i think it has been ridden non stop since christmas morning. i only have one fall so far and that was all on my own doing... it was me trying to one up my kids. a briliant idea in my head that went wrong. both of my knees are now bruised and sore but heck, we all had a good laugh. lets just say im not as young, quick and agile as i think i am.
christmas afternoon we headed to my folks to chat with jared and open presents. jared looked good. he seems so happy and is loving mexico and the experience that he is getting there. one more year til he is home!
