thanksgiving...

thanksgiving this year was a little different. i have been very sick for the last week.. i went to urgent care on Wednesday in hopes that all i had was strep throat but it came back negative and was told i had a virus that would eventually go away on its own. my throat hurt worse then i have ever felt and i had a raging fever that wouldn't go away. even after they took out my tonsils the pain didn't even come close to how bad it was feeling this last week. i have had no voice for a week and been unable to eat or swallow for days.... so on thanksgiving i ended up in the ER. i need some fluids and was hoping for some pain medicine, anything to help me sleep and feel better... but alas, there was no help. i have canker sores that have coated my throat and there isn't anything anyone can do about it. it has to run its course. meanwhile the kids went to my parents house to help prep for the big thanksgiving feast. they helped make rolls, green bean salad, filled drinks and helped decorate the table. chase and i spent a good chunk of the day there then we headed to my parents were i went upstairs and slept and chase drove around trying to find any pharmacy open... no luck. this year i was extremely grateful for family who took in our little ones and still made their holiday special!
