november...

pheww..... novemeber isn't over yet but its been a busy month so far around here. at the beginning of the monthg all three of the big kids got recognized at school for the first quarter student of the month assembly. they were so excited.
 it was also burke's birthday...
 he is 9!
since it was his off year for his friends bday party we went as a family outing to urban air with some family friends... not a birthday party, a family outing, i keep having to go over this.... we spent a few hours there, which was a blast, we were the only ones in there for the first hour then two other kids came, that was it! after jumping for 3+ hours we then headed home for some pizza, cake and ice cream.
on his birthday i went and picked him up early from school and we went and got his free drink then came home and hung out. he was so happy to be able to leave school early. for din din we went to pizza pie, his choice, then came home and watched a movie. all he wanted was a nintendo switch... we have always said no, heck no even, but we caved and got him one finally, he was sooooo excited!! and i cant lie. i think its pretty fun to have around.
burke is one heck of an amazing kid. no one thinks the way burke does, he is very literal with life. rules are rules. it is black and white there is NO grey. you can't change his mind or ask him to hurry up. things get done correctly, 110% effort, or they do not get done at all. he is kind and sweet but knows how to bug those around him. he loves sports but not backyard games. he likes refs and rules, not just a free for all. he is smart, very very smart. ahead in all schooling but will not read a book at night or do homework. his favorite food is ice cream.
chase got tickets to the steelheads hockey game the other weekend and we took the boys while the girls had a girls party with grandma becky and brittney. it was fun to hang out with just them and to watch them get excited about a new sport that they dont know too much about. while we were there a sweet guy offered to buy the boys steelhead hats. they were PUMPED about it... i love kind people!
burke had a school market at school the other day, their class has been earning fake money and they were able to go around a buy things from other kids. everything had to be homemade and it all varied in price. burke came home and told me that he had spent all his money on a gift for me!! its he just the sweetest! it was a dream catcher and the second he saw it he said he knew that i needed to have it. i love that kid.
