chase got to attend con-expo in las vegas this year. so i tagged along and we made a quick little 4 day trip of it. chase's work put us up in the bellagio for the 3 nights that we were there. and now that brit and logan live there we were able to hang with them most of the time and have a blast together. i loved having my sister to keep me company. we had so much fun together. the trip went by way too fast. i cant say i was ready to come home!
we flew in early, like arrived in las vegas at 655am wednesday morning. and came home saturday evening. wednesday and thursday brit and i shopped and shopped some more and also got in lots of laying by pool time. chase attended his expo wednesday, went and looked at his job down there on thursday and then Friday we both went to the expo in the morning and early afternoon. ill be honest, it was much more fun that i expected. the vendors gave out an insane amount of stuff. we brought home so much stuff and still could of brought home so much more! it was interesting to see and learn about a few of the things that chase uses/does on a daily basis. con-expo is the largest convention in the world and that is the truth. that place was huge. it took up miles and miles of buildings and parking lots. it was so confusing to walk around. we were constantly getting lost, having no clue where we came from or how to get back out of the buildings. wednesday night we met all the fellas from chases work and their wives for dinner. we at the harvest in the bellagio. i cant say that it was my favorite. i prefer simpler less fancy food, something that isnt covered in goat cheese and things that look like frog eyeballs... so we may or may not of gone and ate in and out after. thursday night we went and watched O. it was good and sure interesting to watch. it was much more circus oriented than i thought, le reve is still my favorite vegas show, but i'm amazed at how strong they are, no way in a million years i could ever do any of their stunts or even bend like that, they can move around so strangely.... friday night we went with brit and logan to the mentalist. that was FUN. i really enjoyed his show. im so fascinated by how they do it all, read minds, know lives, know personal things, guessing random numbers in peoples head.... obviously there is logical explanation for it all but i cant figure it out to save my life. saturday we woke up. went to a cute little donut shop over by brit and logan's house and then at in and out one last time, chase can NEVER get enough, then caught our flight home, which of course was delayed. it wouldnt be a trip if you didnt have to wait in a nasty, sick, germy, claustrophobic airport. las vegas did not disappoint. i really love that place. i love walking around and watching people. all the shops and eating places are all so close. some people hate it, not me. i love it! and the kids loved their lives while we were gone. both sets of grandparents helped out taking turns on who was on kid duty. and lets just say the kids are missing them and the constant party!
