florida...

chase went to florida at the beginning of the month for 5 days with one of his suppliers. he was treated to a resort called cabin bluff just outside of jacksonville florida, where all they do all day is hunt, golf and fish in the ocean. it was clearly a rough week of work for him... down there they can shoot boar, deer, turkeys and quail. he said boar hunting was a little boring until one of his buddies finally got one. but quail hunting was fast and fun. he shot 21 quail one of the days. i guess down there they have little tiny gnats that are essentially clear called no-see-ums. they bite you and leave little red marks on you. turns out they don't end up hurting or itching for a few days so it started the day he had to travel back home. his hands were so gnarly when get got home and he was itching like crazy. since he usually wore long sleeves and pants along with a hat it they only got his hands and a couple on his legs. thankfully! it looks painful. but he had a blast. he spent some time golfing and fishing in the ocean in the evenings once the hunts were done. while he was gone the kiddos and i got to stay here. we had sleepovers, stayed up way to late watching movies and got almost no sleep since i am such a wuss at being alone. i am so grateful he doesn't leave me alone too often!

 after shooting quail all day they then cleaned them and cooked them.. he said he could barely choke it down, they only ate what they shot or caught. he home starving.
