heaven...

our little 4 year old is very sweet and sensitive. he is very loving and kind. and takes everything very very literally. it is hilarious to me.

as we were peacefully driving down the road last night burke started crying. now i wish this was an abnormal thing but it isnt. he must start thinking when we are in the car. he cries a lot when we are in the car. not a fit. just truly truly sad about something.  huge huge tears pour out of his eyes. so when i asked why he was crying he said it is because he misses heaven. 

all i could think of was... well thats a bummer but you sure dont get to return there anyday soon... 

and then he started on about missing his great great grandfather. and then about his blanket. and if he is going to be able to take his blanket to heaven because he cant leave his star blanket behind. he was crying but mom. i cant live without it.

 you know. the big things and dilemmas of life.

 i told him in heaven we have everything we love. hopefully his blanket makes the cut into the pearly white gates when he is 92 years old... silly boy.
