seems as if our little woman is ready to arrive. last week i spent a few hours in labor and delivery. it was a party. loved every second of it... it was the most ridiculous waste of my time but she clearly doesn't want to get lost in the fold and wants to make her mark. props to her.
i went to my appointment last monday and due to some contractions over two weeks ago...
dont tell your doctor you were having contractions at 31 weeks (they seem to panic, who knew)
some dialation (3 cm already)
and contractions while she was checking for dialation (yet i couldn't feel them)
i was sent over to labor and delivery. score. the whole thing seemed insane to me, seeing as how i felt fine, better than fine, and i surely wasn't feeling any contractions, i told the doctor i wasn't in labor, she didn't seem to care what i thought. she said better safe than sorry. so after calling chase and asking if i really needed to go, which he said yes. i went. sat there for a few hours watching the monitors, by myself. i told chase to keep working seeing how i knew this whole thing was nuts.... but to the doctors credit there were some spikes (contractions) but nothing that i could feel so how serious could this be.... a few hours later they checked again for dilation, there was no progress (duh) and home i went. party on. party on.
and then i went to salt lake city for a girls weekend 3 days later. which was AWESOME. against the advice of EVERYONE. (probably didn't help that the friend i went with is 3 weeks more pregnant than me). yet no babies were born. no contractions happened and i am home again. so all is well.
now she can come if she must. but she must be healthy. and preferably still stay put for a few weeks. i still have a few things to do.
