we love tubes...

oh how i would do tubes again in a heartbeat, all the reserves i had about tubes and worries are gone... they have completely changed our little guy. he is so much happier, which we never thought was possible because he was already a pretty happy kid! he talks so much more and they told us friday at our check up appointment that his hearing is back to 100 percent! YAY! and the best news of all is that he is sleeping through the night... not quietly i might add but we don't have to get out of bed most nights and the nights we do go in there we end up watching him sleep but moaning strangely loud in his sleep! i guess being in tons of pain every night all night is quite the sleep inhibitor! so needless to say we love tubes and most importantly love that tegan is better... that he is happier, way more talkative, and sleeping so much better! it was also a blast to watch him the first couple of days realize the sounds that he was missing out on.. his toys that he has always had would make noise and he would stare at it like WHAT! haha.. it was awesome.. the tv was a whole new thing to him.. we dont listen to the tv blaring loud so he never really was able to notice it, the first few days when we turned it on he would just stare at it! he has been to many many basketball games in his almost 10 months of life... watching my brother and sister play but we went to a game the saturday after his surgery and he streamed the whole time, chase had to leave with him after the first quarter!.. kind of sad that he was SO scared and couldn't figure out why everyone was so loud at random times, but it was awesome to see him be able to hear everything! my little tegan is all better!! FINALLY!
here he is in the little bed in our hospital room... he is to dang cute! if he looks tired thats because he was! he didnt have a good night before.. i think he knew something was up and then we had to get him up so early to be there by 6!

Yeah!!!!! I am so happy for you guys. We had a similar experience with Charlie when he got tubes. Ali and I are both loud talkers and we had to try and keep it down for the first couple of days so we didn't pop his poor little ear drums or make him cry.

I am glad that everything went well and that he is much happier. A happy baby equals a happy momma
