once again my poor child has double ear infections, and once again the antibiotics are not working.. oh tegan. we have now been referred to an ENT specialist... we go next tuesday to decide if tubes are needed or not.
i have begun my research on tubes... i think that i want them but there are a few things that i worry about. first and for most is water. i don't want tegan to be afraid of the water, we spend far to much time at the lake or in a pool in the summers for him to be worrying, or me about causing pain to his ears... number two, tubes inside someones head... the whole concept seems a little freaky to me! but on the other hand this kid doesn't deserve to get ear infections twice a month anymore, especially ones that we cant seem to get rid of for weeks.
so the question remains... to get tubes or not...

DO IT!! YOu will be so happy and Tegan will be a different kid!!! Hayden had tubes- the tubes usually are only in for a year or sometimes they take longer to fall out. While he is so young he won't be submerged in water so water getting in his ears is not that big of a deal. DO IT!!!
Charlie got tubes when he was 2. They worked great. They are actually still in there. It worked great for us.!
Poor little guy! I don't have any advice cause I've never been there, but good luck figuring it out!
