after the boys tournament in utah we stayed in rupert with my parents until the fourth of july. we spent the evenings at the square listing to music and hanging out doing lots of different things during the day. my dad challenged everyone to an ice cream eating contest.. terrible idea but it happened. they all went to ridleys and picked out their gallon of ice cream then they sat outside and ate it. GROSS. of course my dad was the only one to complete it, burke ended up throwing up and/or spitting up for quite a while and feeling not good the rest of the day, everyone else just participated til they couldn't anymore. by the end of the challenge my dad could no longer talk without slurring, his tongue was cold and swollen but that didnt stop him. the things we do to entertain ourselves in rupert, idaho.
once everyone arrived we did all of our usual fourth of july festivities, steadmans, made shirts, did the parade and then came home so we could get to the katseanas party.
