ketchum...

labor day camping this year was a change up. we headed up past sun valley due to the heat. it was going to be over a 100 in idaho city and no way we wanted to camp in that, so up higher into the mountains we went and we found the best spot. we had a stream near by that had just been stocked with fish, fish that were extremely dumb and didn't even seem to move when you jumped in next to them. we caught if all hours of the day. it was a blast. there were deer everywhere. the area had recently been closed due to bears only opened a week earlier so that was a little worry some but we ever saw one so it was great. we fly fished, hiked, swam, went on walks, the area was beautiful and everyone had a great time. one night when we put the kids to sleep and came back out to hang by the fire to chat and stay up waaaay too late we spooked ourselves thinking there were bears when it was only deer. green eyes in the forest are deer, not bear. them deer got real close though.
