2021, happy new year...

 2020. what a year.

it's funny and strange to think so much changed in just a year. so much happened. in the world and in our country. with the schools and the kids schooling. with church, attending the temples, the way we worship now. home church for over half the year. sacrament in our homes. its been amazing and scary. hard and sad. happy and exciting. we have spent more time together then ever before. chase worked from home for a while. the kids missed months of school, now some attend while some still only go 2 days a week to the building, 3 days virtually from their laptops. we can finally eat in restaurants, no fast food places are open still for seating. we wear masks everywhere we go. stores sometimes don't let you in if you don't have one on. cities have burned while people riot in the streets. everyone blames everyone, it is just weird. the kids wear a mask all day everyday at school. they do virtual church activities. but with all the craziness i still feel like it was one of my favorite years yet. we spent time together, lots of time together. we went camping weekend after weekend. sports were cancelled, our time as a family increased a ton. burke still was able to do tackle football, where he was mvp of his team. tegan played flag football and won the championship. we spent day after day at the waterpark where we basically had it to ourselves. peoples fear turned into being our blessing there. chase worked from home, we saw him more in that month then we do in a months time normally. the kids got to explore tons of new places. hunt, find frogs, canoe, kayak rivers, swim, hike, crawl through caves, do lots of board games and become master scooter riders. burke was ordained a deacon by chase and is now able to pass the sacrament. ayla learned how to read. mya found new friends in her new school group, and is mastering her multiplication and division facts. we have had broken bones, cracked open heads. mya conquered her fear of kayaking a river and falling off a bridge. i taught myself how to become a teacher to 4 kids in 4 different grades. chase had another successful year at work and didn't break any bones this year.

we rang in the new year, hello 2021, with the fullers. we played games, watched Croods 2, wrote down our goals, and had lots and lots of yummy treats.
