we got home from rupert and made a quick turn around to get to the cabin. we spent the days on the dock, in the water, in the boat and in the sun. we had a few injuries during the week though. mya and jared were hitting golf balls off the beach and mya's ball hit the rock in front of her and it ricocheted back and hit her smack dab in the nose. took the skin right off the top. her nose never bled but it got so swollen as the week went on and started to bruise a little under her eyes, she kept saying how painful it was. then as the week came to an end burke went out wakeboarding friday night, his second time wakeboarding, and decided it was time to jump the wake. silly brave boy. he ended up crashing and the wakeboard came and knocked him in the back of the head. chase and logan were in the boat and quickly got him out of the water and into the boat and back to the cabin. poor fella had a good amount of blood on his head and dripping down his back. he was shaking like crazy and was feeling a little nauseous. there was no question he needed some stitches so we hustled into cascade to their ER to get him fixed up. 5 staples later and some nausea medicine and he was as good as new. he was a little loopy and couldn't remember his birthday so we had to watch for a concussion for a few days. the first night we had to wake him up every 2 hours to make sure he was okay. all is well now though. and i dont think he ever had a concussion. its healed very good and we got the staples removed last week. he is such a brave kid. i kept telling him its okay to cry, just let it out! and he just kept saying he didn't need to. so burkey like. i just love him and am so glad he was okay. they kept asking over and over again at the ER if he blacked out. they were surprised with that big of a gash he didn't lose consciousness. and so we officially have had our first ever stitches (staples) ER visit. and we are now buying a water helmet.
