we did our first family race on saturday and it was so much fun. whitney and my dad did a half marathon that they trained all summer for.... ewwww.. the rest of us did the 5k. plenty if you ask me. the kids have been excited for months to run in their first official race.
the kiddos killed it. even miss my ran her guts out.
burke came in first with logan his preferred adult partner at 26:15.
tegan ran with chase and were next at 26:42.
then mya and i rolled in at 34:10.
not to shabby for 3.1 miles.
the boys cruised and chase said he was dying to keep up. poor mya, i kept pushing her and coming up with things we would have to run to before we could walk but she did it! the only down part was after all that she walked across the finish line, i was dying of laughter, i mean. what! but she was veeerrrrrrrry done by then and my motivational speeches weren't working anymore so literally 5 steps before she crossed the line she stopped and walked and didnt even care!
ayla strollered mostly but ran here and there with brittney, my mom, addilyn, evelyn and cameron.
that won't be our last family race, that was fun.
