the last few weeks...

phewwwwww... what a busy last few weeks it has been! we decided to go camping while chase had to work down at one of his projects last week. we left tuesday hung out at lake walcott while chase worked then friday we headed to meet my family in rupert for some fourth of july celebrations. saturday was spent at steadman's ranch in raft river. they had two huge water slides, one was longer than 200 yards.. it was so fun. they also had a zip line that tegan loved. a volley ball pit and a candy cannon. that things was so cool. it launches candy into the air and literally rains candy on you. the kids loved it. we spent all day there, getting as many sunburns as possible then left to make it back to rupert for the fireworks that night on the square. chase left saturday night after the fireworks because he was flying out early sunday morning to alaska for his annual work fishing trip. the kids and i stayed and hung out with my parents until tuesday. monday we went up and hiked around lake cleveland. the kids loved that there was snow but it was 80 degrees out. we headed home on tuesday and hurried to walmart to make our t-shirt for our fourth of july tradition. chase flew back home late tuesday night then wednesday was the fourth of july. we kept it low key.. we were all too tired to do too much, one too many late nights, but we did go out to notus to buy some fireworks from the stand out there, got lunch at blaze then headed to chases parents house for a bbq and some wedding prep. made some boutonnieres, and corsages for the wedding party. then got the wedding cakes ready. kelli got married to craig thursday morning, we arrived early to set up, we did the wedding and the luncheon at bardenay, then snagged the kids and headed up to meet ash and ty for a weekend of camping near la grande oregon. a weekend of friends, exploring, hammock sleeping, wiffle ball games, crawdad, frogs, and snake catching, movie nights and late night chats around the fire... also, friday we celebrated 12 years of marriage!!! up in the mountains with the kids, it t'was perfect.
then we came home sunday to finally sit and relax.

what a busy couple of weeks! we are home for a week now but head to the cabin on sunday for the next week of cabin fun... and the saddest part is.. summer is now almost half way over... nooooooo..... since the kids got out of school we have only been home for 6 days... whhhaaatttt?!!!
