mya had her 1st grade ice house project at school this week. she was determined to do sugar cubes like burke did last year but we needed to think of a new design. this time we used three styrofoam bowls for the bottom then 3 insulated hot choco cups for the top. you removed the top cup area to put the ice cube in into a half cut cup that is glued to the top of the bowls and then close it back onto it the bowls to seal it in. turns out we did a pretty good job too because she got second place! she was thrilled. her ice cube wasn't melted until 6.5 hours after putting it into the cup. pretty sweet!
