ho ho ho, we are ready...

we got our tree and its a beauty. the kids keep saying this is our best tree yet. usually we go to the mountains and cut down a tree, one of my favorite traditions by far, but this year, with ayla being such a joy in the car (not) and with tegan and his car sickness barfing issues lately we decided a trip to drive around for hours on winding roads might not be the best thing for our sanity. and since there is snow in our backyard the appeal of going to find snow for sledding was gone too. so to a tree lot we went with the vargas clan. we grabbed some dinner then found us our tree, not before we had a few failure attempts though. (really costco, you sell out of trees in deember and to the man that wanted $85 a tree, heck no)

we also wrote our letters to santa once our tree was up and decorated. this year tegan wants football gloves and a mouthgaurd. Burke wants a kinect and games for the xbox. Mya currently wants a mouthgaurd only. and Ayla is asking for a ride on car, a minnie mouse one to be specific.
mya was cracking us up. she wants everything and i mean everything. a rainbow bike with a kickstand, streamers, and a horn, an easy bake oven, football gloves, a play kitchen, doc mcstuffins and peppa pig stuff... EVERYTHING. yet, the only thing she wanted from santa is the $1.99 mouth guard!! we could not change her mind for the life of us. her mind was made up and that was it. she just kept telling us that we can get her all the rest of her requests (not happening) but that is all she wants from santa. silly girl. tegan loved writing his letter and put so much thought into it. burke told me he wrote in cursive because santa is old and old people can read cursive. and ayla well she just enjoyed eating the markers.
