usually i dont enjoy doing nothing, having no plans... i prefer to be doing something or being somewhere, or pretty much anything other then sitting at home. but right now. i could just sit and sleep, relax, and do nothing for a few days. summer is fun but we seem to be so busy!
tegs had his birthday party friday morning, which took a good amount of planning since he wanted a freaky party. it took me a long time to talk him out of his zombie party that he was DYING to have and into a freaky party saying we could still incorporate zombies since those are freaky. such a hard theme. i clearly wanted and needed to keep it clean (no zombies) since they are 4 and 5. who knew it could be so hard to come up with freaky things without being too freaky. glad that theme is over. next year we are doing pirates or superheros. simple.
but he had fun and i think the other kids did too.
after his party he had is doctor appointment and kindergarten shots. same day, an hour later,

he is healthy as can be. growing, smart. can see. all the good things. he is a skinny little man though. he weights 36 pounds (was about the 20th percentile), i was asked if he is still in a strap car seat since you are suppose to be in them until they hit 40 pounds. i just had to laugh. cant quite imagine him in one of those still! guess its a good thing he isnt going to kindergarten, he would be pulling up in a full on carseat.
we also went to the drive-in theater that evening. it was awesome. we watched monsters university and white house down. got into bed at 3:15 am. it was late! good thing the kids all fell asleep after the first movie.
saturday morning we awoke, packed, and went camping with Kelli and the girls. the night after the drive-in. didnt think that through either. it was fun, yet so exhausting. hagerman was a GREAT place to camp unlike our pathetic attempt last time. we swam at the hot springs, fished, there was grass and trees and it cooled off at night so the fire was quite enjoyable! and it actually was nice to have sleepy kids, they all were begging to go into the tent and sleep by sunset, perfect.
