christmas 2018...

whhhheeeewwwwww.... we survived the last 10 days. christmas celebrating started early this year and went long after christmas day. we started off with chase's work party the thursday before christmas, spent the evening shopping at the village and bowling. friday was all the kiddos christmas parties at school, that evening we went to visit santa and see the scentsy lights. saturday night was the rowley christmas party where santa made a surprise visit to the kids. sunday night we did a friends christmas party with the fullers and stephensons. we played minute to win it games and acted out the nativity with the kids. monday night was christmas eve, we went to chase's parents house to hang out with his family. we played games, ate a huge meal, opened presents then ran home to get the kiddos to sleep at a semi decent hour for the big christmas day! a semi decent hour for us lately is 10 or 10:30.. we have had some very late nights this last week. we woke up on christmas day to a whole lot of gifts that santa left. tegan got a mountain bike, burke got some nintendo switch games, mya wanted a desk for her bedroom and ayla wanted the my little ponies crew. we spend the morning opening presents and playing with all our new stuff. everyone loved everything they got. we headed to my parents at 2:00 for lunch and to open presents with my family.
the 26th was the only day we have had to relax and hang out a little bit.  we laid around, watched a few movies and started working on burke's new ninja warrior course, i also threw a gender reveal party for brittney and logan that night.. its a boy!
the 27th was the day that jared was coming home! i got a text at 6:05a.m. that morning saying that his flight had been delayed and he wouldn't be coming home at 1:00p.m. that day, it was now moved to 8:05p.m.. well.... it kept getting pushed back and back.... he finally flew into the boise airport at 10:30p.m. we sure have missed that kid! he is all smiles since he has been back. his accent is strong and his english is broken but listening to him and his experience has been so fun. we finally got the kids home and to sleep around 1:30a.m. friday morning to then wake up and go back to my parents at 10a.m.  to celebrate second christmas with jared. we gave him our gifts and he gave us lots of fun stuff that he brought back for us from mexico. all he wanted to eat was Panda Express so second christmas lunch was spend at good ole panda.

yesterday, saturday, was real actual christmas prime rib dinner with everyone. then hours spent at urban air then back for games and appetizers.
jared gave his homecoming talk this morning at church with a little get together after then home we came for naps and a whole lot of doing nothing. we all need some serious amounts of sleep. it was one heck of a christmas week!
