valentines...

the day of love. 

we celebrated with school parties and a chinese dinner at home while watching the olympics. 

chase and i planned out a surprise for the kiddos to let them know that we are taking them to disneyland in a couple months. i had visions of them jumping around, screaming, you know. like the videos you see on social media. where the kids go bonkers with excitement. well lets just say that i didnt get the reaction i thought i was going to get. after searching ALL DAY for CUTE mickey and minnie shirts for the kids, which is actually a hard thing to do in boise, idaho, they pulled their shirts out of the bags and stared at them. like uh.... thanks? and then i shouted we are going to disneyland and they nodded their heads and said, mom we knew that. we have heard you and dad talking. 

buzz kill. HUGE buzz kill. 

so our surprise was foiled and they already had a clue that we were going. but either way. i cant wait to get outta this place and go on a trip! and i even got chase to take off 5 days in a row. i figured out that he hasn't ever taken 5 days off in a row, ever. hopefully he survives.... kidding.
