summer so far...

i am loving the whole week and a day of summer we have had!. i must admit that we have all been so lazy this last week. not getting up and out of bed until long after 9ish- 10. getting to swimming lessons at 11 has been difficult! its been so nice to just take our time in the mornings. i like starting off the day on a good note, not me freaking out trying to get everyone up, dressed, fed, and out the door on time. the big kids have been in swimming lessons last week and this week. mya goes at 11 and the boys go at 11:30. they have made good progress this round too! it always fun to see them progress in the water and get more comfortable with it.

last week i turned 31. say what... how.... i had a lovely birthday, the boys made me breakfast in bed, burke made me cereal that was as soggy as possible he must of made it first then waited an hour to deliver?? tegan made the toast that had more jam on it that imaginable. it was awesome and i loved every second of it, i have the sweetest boys. mya and ayla were still asleep so i didn't even know the boys were awake! they rock. we went to swim lessons, chick fil a for lunch, home for a movie then chase and i went out to dinner with the vargas's and round of golfing. my kind of day!

for our family birthday celebration dad and i decided that on Saturday it would be fun for everyone to go riding together since brit and logan were in town. we went early in the morning so it would be cooler, then planned to get lunch after riding, then end the day with a little swimming in the swimming pool. everything was going great until the chain decided to fall off the bike i was riding. i stopped and got off and waiting until someone came to me. that someone just happened to be my dad. i started to wave my hands and yell "help me, help me." that was a bad idea i guess. my dad claims he was so distracted by my frantic plea for help....(i swear it wasn't frantic at all, i was just being a moron doing my little dance) that it caused him to crash about 10 yards from me. i just stood there staring at him as he tipped his bike over onto himself and slid down the hill in the dirt and rocks. once the dust cleared and my brain processed it all i sprinted to him, helped him get his bike up and off him and started to examine his injuries. he was in a t-shirt. bad idea. his arm was shredded. his shoulder looked lower than the other and his fingers were no question broken, bleeding and swelling by the second. and he wouldn't talk to me. i asked a million times if he was okay and he just stared. i started to think he must of passed out that's why he crashed and is now just dazed..... my dad is an amazing dirt bike rider so him laying it over on a small hill/turn was so strange.... chase finally got to us and he started talking but not about his injuries about how the heck he is going to get his bike going again. he was clearly hurting but would never admit to any sort of pain and to this day, a week and a half later, he says nothing hurts and never did. yeah, yeah, yeah. maybe he went to the doctor during work one day and just wont admit it.... we postponed lunch to dinner and let him go home to wash out all his wounds. chase also crashed that day and just so happened to land in a massive goat head bush. he was screeching to get them off his clothes. he had thousands of little poke holes all over the right side of his body. it was hilarious. he said it was the most painful shower of his life. poor guy.

and good news. chase and i fixed the wrecked 50 so now we are all able to ride again! it was actual simple.. lets just hope we did it right. mya is so pumped that she has gold on her bike. gold is her favorite color after all... (since when, who knows...)
