tubes again...

friday morning and 6:30 a.m. we will be in the hospital getting ready for burke to go into surgery... minor surgery but none the less still surgery to me.. he still gets put to sleep, has to wake up, let it wear off, sit in recovery then go home and manage the next little while.... he is getting tubes.. i have to say this in one surgery that i am SOOOO grateful for! we have been going through a constant ear infection with him for 2 months now... poor guy is only 6 months old! he has gone through all antibiotics, chiropractors and nothing has worked so its time for tubes.

we got into the ENT yesterday and they ran a bunch of tests and his hearing is zero, zip, zilch.. NADA.. he can hear nothing. nothing in either ear, they actually kept asking us if we were sure he passed his hearing test at birth.. i was like yes.. im pretty sure i would remember if they told me he couldn't hear!!! so somewhere between now and then he has lost his hearing, they think/hope its just because of all the fluid around his ear drums... so sad, i feel so bad for him! and here we were thinking he was the worlds best deep sleeper.. tegan never woke him up at night, a noise never has woken him up.. we could do anything around him and he would sleep right through it... well it helps when you cant hear!! so we go in friday to get it all fixed, yes we have to wait until friday because the doctor is going out of town. who goes out of town in the middle of the week and leaves two helpless parents and a miserable 6 month old to suffer for 4 more nights.. SO ANNOYING, oh well so hopefully this means we can sleep again! its been quite a long time since he slept well.. a bit over two months actually... do i look like a zombie.. yes yes i do.. and on top of that he has double ear infections again... pretty bad ones to i guess... so hopefully after friday morning we won't be waking up every 45 minutes anymore....we are counting down the nights.. only 3 more!
